✍️ Author Guidelines

Authors who wish to submit manuscripts to Annabawi: Islamic Education Management Journal (IEMJ) are expected to comply with the following guidelines:

???? Manuscript Format

  • Manuscripts must be written in Microsoft Word (.docx) format.

  • We do not accept LaTeX, PDF, or other file formats.

???? Article Length

  • Manuscripts should be between 4,500 to 6,500 words, including references.

???? Article Structure

All manuscripts should follow the IMRaD format, consisting of:

  1. Abstract (English and Bahasa Indonesia)

  2. Introduction

  3. Method

  4. Result

  5. Discussion

  6. Conclusion

  7. References

  8. Acknowledgment (optional)

???? Abstract Guidelines

  • The abstract should summarize the purpose, method, findings, and recommendation of the study.

  • Must be written in both English and Bahasa Indonesia, each 150–250 words.

  • Use Garamond 10 pt, single spacing, left indent 2.5 cm.

Keywords: Include 3–5 keywords, either single or compound words, to represent the study's core concepts.

???? Introduction

The introduction must:

  • Present the topic and background

  • Review recent relevant literature (last 10 years)

  • Identify gaps or contradictions in the literature

  • Clearly state the research problem, objectives, and scope

  • Outline the structure of the article

???? Method

This section should explain:

  • Research design, population, sampling, data collection, and instruments

  • Tools and procedures used

  • For qualitative research: include research setting, subject presence, informants, and validation techniques

Use narrative paragraphs—not bullet points—for sub-sections.

???? Result

Present key findings concisely and clearly:

  • Use tables and figures only where necessary, avoid redundancy

  • Describe findings in relation to research objectives

  • Do not present raw statistical calculations—focus on interpreted results

???? Discussion

The discussion should:

  • Interpret the results and connect them to the literature

  • Explain how the findings answer the research questions

  • Compare findings with prior research

  • Offer theoretical implications or propose new frameworks

Authors are expected to cite international (Scopus) and national (SINTA) indexed journals to support arguments.

✅ Conclusion

  • Summarize the findings and directly answer the research questions

  • If multiple points are made, use numbered paragraphs, not bullet points

  • Optionally include suggestions or future implications

???? Acknowledgment

(Optional) This section may include acknowledgments to contributors or funders.

???? References

  • Use APA 7th edition style

  • Apply Zotero, Mendeley, or EndNote for citation management

  • Minimum 70% of references must come from journals; the rest from books

  • Authors are encouraged to cite at least one article from a previous issue of IEMJ

  • References must be listed alphabetically

???? Article Title

  • Must be in English, clear, concise (max. 16 words), and relevant to the study

  • Use Garamond 16 pt, single spacing

???? Author Information

  • List all authors' full names, affiliations, and emails

  • Do not abbreviate institutional names

  • Ensure name spelling and sequence are accurate

???? Headings and Subheadings

  • Use consistent hierarchical headings (e.g., Heading 1, 2, 3)

  • Follow the format provided in the journal’s template

???? Figures

  • Submit images in high-resolution format (JPG, PNG, or original file)

  • Figures must be embedded in the manuscript and numbered with Arabic numerals

  • Provide captions and cite them in-text

???? Tables

  • Tables must be inserted in the body of the text, not as separate files

  • Place each table as close as possible to its reference point

  • Include titles and, if needed, footnotes for clarity
