Author Self-Judgement
Before submitting your manuscript to Annabawi: Islamic Education Management Journal (IEMJ), authors are strongly encouraged to conduct a self-assessment using the following checklist to ensure the quality, relevance, and readiness of the manuscript for peer review.
Please answer the following questions honestly and revise your manuscript as needed before submission:
✅ Relevance and Scope

Does the manuscript align with the focus and scope of IEMJ, particularly in Islamic education management, leadership, policy, or institutional development?

Does the paper contribute new knowledge, insights, or practical implications in the field?
✅ Originality and Ethical Standards

Is the manuscript original, not previously published or under review in another journal?

Have all sources and references been properly cited and acknowledged?

Has the manuscript passed a plagiarism check with a similarity score below the accepted threshold (preferably < 20%)?
✅ Structure and Formatting

Is the manuscript structured according to the IMRaD format (Introduction, Method, Results, and Discussion)?

Are abstracts provided in both English and Bahasa Indonesia, with 3–5 keywords?

Does the manuscript use the APA 7th edition citation style and follow the journal’s formatting guidelines?
✅ Language and Readability

Is the article written in clear, academic English or Bahasa Indonesia?

Has the manuscript been proofread to eliminate grammar, punctuation, or spelling errors?
✅ References and Research Quality

Are at least 70% of references from reputable journals (Scopus, SINTA, etc.) within the last 10 years?

Does the manuscript cite at least one article from a previous issue of IEMJ (if available)?

Are the research design, data analysis, and interpretation of findings methodologically sound and well-articulated?
✅ Technical Aspects

Are all figures and tables properly numbered, captioned, and embedded in the text?

Is the article file submitted in Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx) format?
If your answer is YES to most or all of the questions above, your manuscript is likely ready for submission to Annabawi: IEMJ.
If not, we recommend revising your manuscript before submitting to ensure a higher chance of acceptance and a smoother review process.
