About the Journal
Focus and Scope
Islamic Education Journal (IEJ) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal that publishes scholarly works in the field of Islamic education. The journal focuses on critical and empirical studies on Islamic pedagogy, curriculum development, educational leadership, Islamic educational institutions (madrasah, pesantren, and higher education), integration of Islamic values in education, and contemporary issues in Islamic education worldwide. IEJ encourages interdisciplinary research and the integration of classical Islamic scholarship with modern educational theories and practices.
The journal welcomes contributions from academics, researchers, practitioners, and policymakers in the form of original research articles, literature reviews, conceptual papers, and case studies.
Open Access Policy
IEJ provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. Authors and readers are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of articles without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author, as long as the original source is properly cited.
Copyright and Licensing
Authors who publish with IEJ retain copyright and grant the journal the right of first publication. Peer Review Process
